RAIN Humane Society, SPCA

Welcome

RAIN Humane Society, SPCA is a 501c3 non-profit organization. The rescue is made up of many longtime established local rescuers coming together for a greater cause. RAIN Humane Society, SPCA is gearing more towards the advocacy of the rescue world than the typical intake/adoption shelter. Our animals come from local animal control agencies and are considered "special needs" and usually, RAIN Humane Society, SPCA is their last hope of being able to live a good life. We do not have high volume animal intake and, put more focus on the root of the problems experienced in our county.

Outreach Programs

1. Care for the animals in residence: We have purchased our 13 acres and have made Callahan our headquarters and forever home along with being a safe haven for the animals that pass through the RAIN organization. On the premises, we have 13 kennels, 2 puppy corrals, 1 free-roaming cattery, a 1000square foot recovery unit, a horse corral, a beautiful pond for K-9 swimming and endless room for exercise and play.

RAINTrain

RAIN’s newest program is off to a wonderful start, with much participation and enthusiasm. The RAIN Train, as it has been named, has successfully rescued and transported 71 animals in its first month of existence in May. RAIN has reached out to many of the rescues of the Southeastern United States in hopes of transporting some of the many adoptable pets at our local animal control facilities.
